Let's fact check wool rugs.

Wool is naturally temperature-regulating.
It breathes. It insulates in winter and stays cool in summer. This is why sheep don’t overheat. Your floor won’t either.

It handles life better than anything.
Bare feet, spilled rosé, kids tracking in grass — wool handles all of it. Hand-woven or hand-knotted wool in particular sheds minimally and cleans up easily. Hydrogen peroxide on a spill, blot, done.

But not all wool rugs are equal.
This is the part most people miss. Tufted wool sheds constantly and doesn’t clean well. Hand-woven and hand-knotted wool is a completely different material in practice (you can filter by this on our site!). That’s what we carry and that’s what we recommend — because we want you to actually enjoy the rug, not fight with it.
